Well, I started ACCA by taking classes from ACCA Approved Learning Providers (ALP). But with the passage of time, I took some papers on my own through self-study.
If you can manage to take up coaching for the ACCA papers, then I believe that it is the best way to study for ACCA. This is because it keeps you on schedule with regular classes, written practices and a proper revision at the end of the session.
But self-study can also be done but it needs a lot of dedication and commitment. My way of self-study and which I would recommend as well is:
1. Read the study textbook (be it BPP or Kaplan)
2. Practice questions from the exam kit (kit should be the one of which you have read the study text, as it keeps the consistency)
3. Practice exam question papers under timed conditions
4. REVISE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
5. Plus you can take lectures from the "OpenTuition.com Free resources for accountancy students - Free ACCA lectures and course notes | ACCA / AAT / FIA resources and forums | ACCA Global Community", they really help! Cheers!
